GPG Keysigning

Saturday June 30th, 17:45-18:30

By formally identifying each other, participants become part of the "Web of Trust". Anne Wilson has kindly offered to coordinate the keysigning. If you wish to take part, this is what you need to do:

Before the 18th June

Send a message to cannewilson at tiscali.co.uk, signed with the key to be used in the signing party, in order that it can be collated. You will get a receipt, normally within two days.

After the list is available

The list is now available

gpg --print-md md5 ksp-akademy07.txt

ksp-akademy07.txt: DE76 892F 6D7D BC47 2B1D 1E9E 77F5 0949 FC98 0157
  • You must verify your details are correct, if there is a problem contact Anne Wilson
  • Generate the MD5 and SHA1 hashes for the file (using md5sum/sha1sum or gpg --print-md md5/gpg --print-md sha1) and write these on the printout of the list

On the day you will need to bring

  • A picture ID. Examples of acceptable ID are passports, driving licences of the type that have a clear photo attached, and national Identity Cards.
  • A printout of the list with a note of the hashs for the file on it
  • A pen or pencil.

We will be using the Hash Based keysigning method

After the Keysigning Party

Please use Peter Palfrader's pgp-tools to sign keys using caff, one of the scripts of pgp-tools
