Beautiful Features

They say you only get one chance to make a first impression, but a lifetime to build your reputation. How can our software make a great first impression from the moment someone logs in while building commitment and trust in the user over the long term?
This presentation will examine a number of design and functionality issues that to be effective may need to be adopted broadly, which means having community consensus on them. As such this entry aims to be more of a vigorous discussion with the audience about the holistic presentation, design and interaction of KDE software and than a simple slide presentation.
My hope is that it can be the next step in getting our collective goals in line with each other so that KDE4 will end up more consistent, more impressive and simply the most slick desktop software around.
